World Hunger Day

India has the highest number of undernourished people in the world — 230 million or about a fourth of our population. Even more are at risk of becoming malnourished because of rising global food prices.

Hunger is real. It affects some more than others.

We all see hunger and poverty around us and share a desire to make a difference. Kathir Dhan assists you to help others. It delivers food to the underprivileged children, disabled and the elderly of Chennai.

Kathir Dhan is a bridge between those in need and those who wish to help.

There is more to Kathir Dhan:

At institutions, volunteers spend time with the residents offering companionship. It helps them connect with the larger unexplored world over a nice, shared meal. It brings them friends and helps them see a face in this facebook world.

Amongst the underprivileged, Kathir Dhan is much more than the fabled "next meal". It brings an Inspiration to a livelihood - and the resources to build on it: the biggest gift someone poor and disadvantaged could receive. The meal brings with it ECO Kitchen's food retail opportunity KATHIR , at their door step.
